This page explains what information we collect on nonprofitwizard.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English.

What we collect

• What you tell us. When you use the Wizard chat or the contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, the state and name of your planned nonprofit, its mission, information about your board, your expected income, and any notes you add. If you use the chat, we also keep the conversation so our team can read it before calling you.
• Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical details such as your IP address and browser type. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site.

How we use it

• To review your request, call you back, and prepare your nonprofit's documents if you decide to work with us.
• To answer your questions and keep a record of what we discussed.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

The AI helper

The Wizard chat uses an artificial-intelligence model from Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to turn what you type or say into organized intake details. Your messages are sent to that model through a private relay that we control, and the model's reply is shown to you and included in the summary sent to our team. Please do not type Social Security numbers, bank details, or other highly sensitive information into the chat; anything of that kind we collect securely on the phone. If the AI helper is unavailable, the chat falls back to simple guided questions that run entirely in your browser.

How your submission reaches us

When you press send, your details are delivered to our team by email through a form-delivery service (FormSubmit). That service processes the submission only to deliver it to us.

Calls and texts

By submitting a request, you agree that Nonprofit Wizard may call or text you at the number you provided about your request. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Keeping your information safe

This site is served over HTTPS. Your information is shared only with our team and the service providers named above, and only to the extent needed to respond to you and prepare your documents.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete the information you sent us at any time. Use the contact form on our home page and tell us what you'd like changed or removed.

Children

This site is intended for adults who are starting a nonprofit. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
